A journey of flavors in the heart of Folgaria
The Folgaria Street Food Event is one of the most anticipated gastronomic highlights of the summer on the Alpe Cimbra, the plateau encompassing Folgaria, Lavarone, Luserna, and the Vigolana, in the municipality of Folgaria (province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige). For one evening, the streets of the historic center, starting from Via Roma, transform into a long path of flavors, aromas, and mountain atmosphere, brought to life by the members of the Consorzio Voglia di Folgaria.
Trentino cuisine in street food style
The heart of the event lies with the local restaurateurs, bars, and shops, who bring traditional Trentino dishes to the streets, reinterpreted to be enjoyed while strolling. Among the stalls, you can sample specialties such as canederli, tortel di patate, carne salada, barley soup (orzetto), polenta, sausages, speck, local cheeses like Vezzena, and classic desserts like strudel, all freshly prepared and accompanied by local wines, beers, and grappas.
Music, entertainment, and tradition
The food and wine trail is enlivened by roaming musicians, the Folgaria band, and small performances that make the atmosphere even more engaging. There is no shortage of traditional activities and old-fashioned games, designed to entertain both adults and children and to rediscover the convivial spirit of mountain village festivals.
Where and when
The event takes place in the center of Folgaria at the end of August, starting in the late afternoon, and admission is free. It represents the perfect opportunity to combine a high-altitude holiday on the Alpe Cimbra with the discovery of Trentino gastronomy and popular traditions.
Folgaria Street Food — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Folgaria Street Food Event will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, starting at 5:00 PM along the streets of central Folgaria. In case of bad weather, the event will be moved to Thursday, August 27, 2026. The evening transforms the town center into a gastronomic trail dedicated to Trentino tradition in street food style, with music, entertainment, and old-fashioned games for the whole family.

Wednesday, August 26, 2026 — from 5:00 PM
The center of Folgaria transforms into a gastronomic trail along the village streets, featuring stands from the restaurateurs and shops of the Consorzio Voglia di Folgaria. Among the proposals announced by the exhibitors:
- Al VoltAbot — zero-mile Cimbrian sandwiches
- Antica Macelleria Cappelletti — trilogy of tartare
- Caffè Pasticceria Dalsass — aperitifs and desserts
- Eghel Pause — gröstl and kaiserschmarren
- Folgaria Post Hotel — beer and sandwiches
- Fruttidea Veneri — apple fritters
- La Pendana — mixed fried fish
There will also be the great classics of Trentino cuisine such as canederli, tortel di patate, carne salada, barley soup, polenta, local cheeses, and strudel, accompanied by local wines, beers, and grappas. The evening is enlivened by roaming music, the Folgaria band, and traditional activities and games for all ages.
