Contemporary art meets Osteria 33 in Terragnolo

RistorArte is a cultural initiative hosted at Osteria 33, located in the Piazza hamlet of Terragnolo—a small municipality of just over seven hundred inhabitants scattered across thirty-three hamlets in the autonomous province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige. The concept was born from a collaboration between Barbara Foradori, who manages the venue with her husband Andrea Cordero, and Sara di Lucia, a territorial management specialist who proposed turning the restaurant's dining room into a permanent exhibition space. The result is a series that weaves together contemporary art, food and wine, and community life in one of the most secluded valleys in the Trentino region.
The formula is simple yet original: for eleven months, the venue hosts the works of eleven female artists from Trentino, one each month. The initiative highlights local female talent, providing a platform for both established names and emerging figures on the local art scene. Each exhibition is entirely dedicated to a single painter, with her works displayed throughout the tavern's dining room, among the tables and walls of the establishment.
The heart of the series lies in the monthly inaugurations, held on the first Sunday of every month at 5 PM. During the vernissage, the artist is present in person to meet the public, share the deep meaning behind their work, and guide visitors through colors, shapes, and interpretations. In the following weeks, the works remain on display during the restaurant's regular opening hours—from Wednesday to Monday—offering everyone the chance to admire them at their leisure, perhaps while enjoying a traditional Trentino dish paired with local wines.
The common thread uniting the various exhibitions is Nature, represented in all its infinite shades and variations: from the beauty of landscapes to the most intimate and poetic details. Each artist interprets the theme through their own sensibility, offering a personal perspective on the landscape and environment surrounding Terragnolo and its mountains.
Reopened after a long period of closure, Osteria 33 has become a gathering place for valley residents and a social and cultural anchor for this mountain territory. With RistorArte, the venue positions itself as a space where art is not confined to a museum but enters daily life—between a lunch and a chat—helping to promote Trentino artists and strengthen the bond between culture and community in the municipality of Terragnolo.
The dates and program for the 2026 edition of RistorArte at Osteria 33 in Terragnolo have not yet been announced. The inaugural series, spanning eleven months and eleven Trentino artists with the theme of Nature, took place starting in 2025 with inaugurations on the first Sunday of each month. To find out if and when the exhibition cycle will resume with new artists, it is best to follow updates from Osteria 33 and the tourism portals of Trentino.
