A festival dedicated to the Trentino autumn

The Autumn Flavours Festival is the event where the Municipality of Caldonazzo, in Valsugana, celebrates the flavours and traditions of the most colourful season of the year. For an entire day, the town centre and Piazza Municipio are transformed into a large open-air market, with stalls featuring local produce, hobbyists, flowers, and local crafts. The event, also known as the Apple and Autumn Flavours Festival, is an opportunity to rediscover the tastes, customs, and values of the Trentino tradition.

Chestnuts, roasted chestnuts, and local products

The scent of roasted chestnuts and mulled wine accompanies visitors through the streets of the town, where they can find chestnuts, Valsugana apples, and local food and wine specialties. The stalls offer organic and zero-kilometre products, plants, flowers, and artisan creations, in a festive atmosphere that involves the entire Caldonazzo community.

Walks, culture, and entertainment

Alongside the market, the Autumn Flavours Festival offers a programme full of initiatives. Among the most popular proposals are guided walks to discover the chestnut groves and the Torre dei Sicconi, the opening of the museum dedicated to the people of Caldonazzo, and art exhibitions set up in various town spaces. There is no shortage of cultural moments, such as book presentations, and activities for children, with creative workshops, face painting, and entertainment.

An event for the whole family

Thanks to the convivial atmosphere and the variety of offerings, the festival is designed for a public of all ages. It is the ideal opportunity to spend a day in the open air in Trentino-Alto Adige, amidst good food, tradition, and autumn landscapes, breathing in the identity of a village overlooking Lake Caldonazzo and surrounded by the woods of the Valsugana.

Where and when

The event typically takes place in October in the historic centre of Caldonazzo, with its heart in Piazza Municipio. Admission to the market and the initiatives is free. It is organised by the Municipality of Caldonazzo in collaboration with local associations.
