A widespread summer on the Vigolana Plateau

E...State in Vigolana is the summer festival that accompanies residents and visitors throughout the beautiful season on the Vigolana Plateau, a natural balcony overlooking the Valsugana valley and Lake Caldonazzo, about twenty kilometers southeast of Trento. Promoted by the Alpe Cimbra Tourist Board in collaboration with the Municipality of Altopiano della Vigolana, the event is not a single happening but an entire widespread program that, between July and September, touches the hamlets of Vigolo Vattaro, Vattaro, Bosentino, and Centa San Nicolò.

A program for all ages

The beauty of this festival lies in its variety: past editions have featured concerts, open-air theatrical performances, cinema under the stars, live music and entertainment, workshops and shows designed for children, as well as activities dedicated to discovering the local area. Some events have now become true classics of the Vigolana summer.

• Giovedì Vigolani — evenings of entertainment, music, and fun throughout the historic streets of Vigolo Vattaro.
• Cinema d'Estate and open-air cinema — evening screenings at the Vattaro Theater and in Centa San Nicolò.
• Shows for families and children — theater, storytelling, and entertainment in the villages and mountain huts of the plateau.
• Natura Narrans and walks like Bisbigli in Quota — events that combine storytelling and hiking along the trails, including the Fairy Tale Path (Sentiero delle Fiabe).
• Vattaro Party — the end-of-summer festival in Piazza San Rocco in Vattaro, with DJ sets, sandwiches, and beer.

Village festivals

The cultural program is complemented by traditional festivals that mark the summer in the plateau's villages, such as the Potato Festival (Festa della Patata) in Vigolo Vattaro and the Pear Festival (Festa della Pera) in the historic center of Vattaro, perfect opportunities to taste local products and experience authentic village hospitality.
