A week of flavor and festivities in the Vauda district of Rocca Canavese
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Every summer, the village of Vauda di Rocca Canavese, a small town in the Metropolitan City of Turin in Piedmont, hosts one of the most beloved food and wine events in the Canavese area: the Stuffed Peach Festival. Organized by the La Baraca association to coincide with the feast of Saint Luigi, the festival transforms the village streets for about a week into a vibrant hub of taste and entertainment, attracting thousands of visitors from across the region.
The undisputed protagonist is the stuffed peach, a traditional Piedmontese dessert: ripe peaches are pitted and filled with a mixture of cocoa, amaretti, chocolate, and hazelnuts, then slow-baked in a wood-fired oven until they become soft and fragrant. Prepared according to ancient family recipes, it is the culinary symbol of the event and the reason many return to Vauda year after year.
Alongside the famous dessert, the food stalls offer a rich menu of Piedmontese and Canavese cuisine. Specialties served over the years include:
Everything is paired with local wines such as Barbera, Bonarda, and Arneis.
The festival is more than just food: every evening features live music, ballroom dance orchestras, concerts, themed nights, and cabaret shows. Over the years, popular artists and renowned ballroom orchestras have taken the stage, with events designed to engage families, young people, and fans of local traditions.
Part of the summer festival calendar in the Canavese, the Stuffed Peach Festival is a wonderful opportunity to discover the hospitality of a small village and the authentic flavors of this land nestled between Turin and the Lanzo valleys. The event traditionally takes place during the first week of August in the Vauda district of Rocca Canavese.
The 24th edition of the Stuffed Peach Festival is expected for the summer of 2026 in the Vauda district of Rocca Canavese, in the province of Turin. The event, organized by the La Baraca association, is traditionally held in the first week of August and celebrates the typical Piedmontese dessert alongside specialties of Canavese cuisine, local wines, and evenings of music and dance.
The indicated dates (August 2-9, 2026) are currently based on unofficial sources and are to be confirmed; the complete program, including concerts, dance orchestras, and shows, will also be announced in the months preceding the festival. It is recommended to check for updated information on the organization's official channels.
The festival is held in the Vauda di Rocca Canavese district (TO), in Piedmont, within the village's event area.
By car from Turin: take the highway or provincial road towards Ciriè, then continue towards Rocca Canavese and the Vauda district (about 35 km from the city center). The nearest train station is Ciriè, on the Turin-Ceres line.
Access to the festival area is generally free; you pay for what you consume at the food stalls. For reservations and menu information, it is recommended to contact the organizers.
