Thematic tours exploring art, history, and natural sciences at the Savoy residence
Arte e naturalia at the Castello di Agliè is a series of thematic guided tours offering an innovative reading of one of the most fascinating royal Savoy residences, now a UNESCO World Heritage site. The common thread is nature: the flora and fauna hidden within the frescoes, decorations, historic gardens, and rooms of the Castello Ducale di Agliè become the key to rediscovering the history, art, and traditions of this Canavese estate.
The Castello Ducale di Agliè, located in the town of Agliè in the province of Turin, is one of the Savoy residences included in the World Heritage list. With its 300 rooms, Italian-style garden, romantic English-style park, and historic kitchens, it provides the perfect setting for a project that blends art, history, and natural sciences into a multisensory experience suitable for families.
The program is divided into four distinct routes, each dedicated to an aspect of the relationship between humanity and nature in court life:
The tours are organized by the Residenze Reali Sabaude – Direzione Regionale Musei Nazionali Piemonte, in collaboration with the Vivere i Parchi association and as part of the Morena Ovest agreement, which brings together several municipalities in the Canavese area. Guides are joined by university professors and experts, ensuring a high-quality experience that makes every appointment an opportunity for both learning and leisure. Tours are also available in English upon request.
