About Ciriè Music Festival

The Ciriè Music Festival is a travelling musical event that brings the streets and squares of Ciriè, in the Canavese area (Metropolitan City of Turin), to life every year. Organized by the I Music Piemonteis association, it offers a series of free open-air concerts where a wind orchestra and choir guide the audience through pop-rock hits, jazz standards, and original compositions for bands. A widespread festival that brings live music to the iconic landmarks of this Piedmontese town.

A widespread festival in the center of Ciriè

The Ciriè Music Festival is a travelling wind band music event held in the municipality of Ciriè, a major hub in the Canavese area in the province of Turin (Piedmont). The festival is not concentrated in a single evening or location: its events are spread over several months, crossing the city's most representative streets and squares, turning the urban landscape into an open-air stage.

Who are I Music Piemonteis

The festival is organized by the I Music Piemonteis association, a musical group founded in Ciriè in 1976 by maestro Ugo Bairo with the goal of fostering socialization among young people through music and rediscovering the region's cultural heritage. Since 1983, the wind orchestra and choir have taken their repertoire on numerous international tours, performing in Europe, Israel, the United States, and Brazil. The festival is sponsored by the Metropolitan City of Turin and supported by the Municipality of Ciriè.

A repertoire for everyone

The strength of the Ciriè Music Festival lies in the variety of its offerings: programs range from beloved pop-rock hits to jazz atmospheres, and original pieces composed specifically for wind orchestras. Alongside I Music Piemonteis, other wind bands from the Canavese area often take the stage, creating a dialogue between local musical groups.

Free open-air concerts

All events are held outdoors and are free to attend, making the festival a perfect meeting point for families, enthusiasts, and curious passersby. Concerts take place in symbolic locations such as Via Vittorio Emanuele, the courtyard of Palazzo D'Oria, Piazza San Giovanni, and the historic districts of the city, enhancing Ciriè's urban heritage and creating moments of shared celebration.

A musical tradition of the Canavese

More than just a concert series, the Ciriè Music Festival represents a piece of the vibrant Piedmontese band tradition, an expression of musical associations deeply rooted in the territory. Attending means discovering a Canavese town through its music and experiencing the authentic atmosphere of a community that treats its band and choir as a collective treasure.
