Three evenings of wine, food, and music in the village of Riparbella
Every year in July, the small village of Riparbella, perched on the Pisan hills between the Val di Cecina and the sea, becomes the wine capital of the Tuscan coast for three evenings. Ripawine is the food and wine festival organized by the Pro Loco Riparbella in collaboration with the Municipality of Riparbella, the FISAR delegation, and local producers: an event that has grown edition after edition to become one of the most anticipated summer appointments in the Province of Pisa.
Throughout the festival, the historic center becomes entirely pedestrianized and transforms, as the organizers like to say, into a large open-air lounge. Wineries set up in the various village squares — Piazza del Popolo, Piazza della Madonna, Piazza Borgo di Sotto — and visitors, glass in hand, stroll from one station to the next, sampling labels from local producers. Tastings are paired with traditional Riparbella dishes, with various gastronomic offerings ranging from traditional menus to grilled and fried specialties, served at the numerous festival tables set up along the route.
The heart of Ripawine lies in the wineries of the Riparbella municipality, united in the Winemakers' Association: estates such as La Regola, Pakravan-Papi, Prima Pietra, Duemani, Colline Albelle, Caiarossa, and Quercialuce represent a district of over 120 hectares of vineyards and approximately 460,000 bottles produced each year. Characterful red wines, fragrant whites, and organic productions tell the story of a land where the mild climate, proximity to the sea, and rich soils create labels increasingly appreciated by critics.
Beyond wine and food, Ripawine offers musical performances and entertainment scattered throughout the village every evening, where wine meets art, music, and craftsmanship. The summer atmosphere, illuminated narrow streets, and the typical hospitality of small Tuscan towns make this event a perfect opportunity to discover Riparbella and its hinterland, far from the mass tourism of the coast.
Located in the Province of Pisa, in Tuscany, Riparbella is a village of a few thousand inhabitants nestled among woods, olive groves, and vineyards, a short distance from Cecina and the Tyrrhenian coast. Ripawine is one of many events the Riparbella community offers throughout the year and represents the best opportunity to get to know its winemaking vocation and hospitality up close.
The 2026 edition of Ripawine is confirmed in Riparbella for July 10, 11, and 12, 2026. Once again, the village transforms into a grand tasting trail: local wineries open their stations in the historic center's squares, accompanied by traditional Riparbella cuisine and live music every evening. The event opens at 6:30 PM, with the village entirely pedestrianized, a free shuttle service from Cecina, and free parking in the outskirts.
The tastings feature wineries from the Riparbella Winemakers' Association, across a territory of over 120 hectares of vineyards and approximately 460,000 bottles per year.
Ripawine 2026 takes place over three evenings, from July 10th to 12th, open daily from 6:30 PM until midnight.
The detailed program of the evenings, including musical appointments and the complete list of participating wineries, will be published by Pro Loco Riparbella in the weeks leading up to the event on their official channels.
