The monthly antiques, vintage, and artisan craft market in the historic center of Cascina
Every first Sunday of the month, the historic center of Cascina, an important town in the Province of Pisa in the heart of Tuscany, transforms into a large open-air market. Mercantico occupies the entire Corso Matteotti with around 170 stalls from exhibitors coming from all over the region and beyond, creating one of the longest-running and most popular antique fairs in the Pisan territory.
The selection is wide and varied, designed for both the expert collector and those simply looking for the right object to give a new life. Strolling through the stalls, you will encounter:
Established in 1999 by the Pro Loco of Cascina, the event has grown over time to become a highly anticipated date for enthusiasts from all over Tuscany. The market takes place every first Sunday of the month, from 9:00 AM until evening, with a summer break during the hottest months (July, August, and usually September). However, the calendar also includes extraordinary editions: in 2026, a special Easter Monday event is scheduled for April 6th, along with a confirmed edition on Sunday, October 4th.
During Mercantico, the Museum of the Workers' Society for Wood and Trades also opens its doors, dedicated to the historic artisan and furniture-making vocation of Cascina. The day thus becomes the ideal opportunity to combine the search for a rare piece with a stroll through the historic center, among the town's shops, bars, and restaurants.
For centuries, Cascina has been a reference point in Tuscany for woodworking and furniture production: Mercantico is, in a way, its natural expressionโa place where antique objects and craftsmanship meet to tell the story and identity of this territory in the Province of Pisa.
For 2026, the Pro Loco of Cascina confirms the schedule for Mercantico, the monthly antiques and vintage market held on the first Sunday of every month on Corso Matteotti, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

As per tradition, the market observes a summer break during the months of July, August, and September. During market days, the Museum of the Workers' Society for Wood and Trades remains open for visitors.
