Three days of wine, food, and music in the historic center of Montaione
Borgo diVino in Tour is the major traveling food and wine event that crosses Italy every year, transforming the most picturesque villages into open-air wineries. The Tuscan stop is held in Montaione, a small town in the Province of Florence nestled between the Valdelsa and Volterrano areas, recognized as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy. For an entire weekend, the historic center, with its streets and panoramic terraces overlooking the Tuscan hills, fills with tasting stalls, culinary aromas, and live music.
The heart of the event is the tastings: a curated selection of labels from the best local and national wineries, with wines coming from various Italian regions—from Piedmont to Puglia, from Trentino-Alto Adige to Lombardy, passing through Veneto, Abruzzo, Basilicata, and Lazio. Naturally, there is ample space for local Tuscan wines, from Vernaccia di San Gimignano to Chianti dei Colli Fiorentini.
Montaione is more than just a backdrop: the village offers panoramic views of the Valdelsa hills and an authentic atmosphere, far from the crowds of the major art cities. Visiting Borgo diVino in Tour here means combining a food and wine experience with the slow discovery of a lesser-known corner of Tuscany, just a few kilometers from San Gimignano, Volterra, and Certaldo.
Admission to the event is free. To participate in the tastings, you need to purchase the voucher, which includes a tasting glass and tokens for samples at the wineries. The kit can be purchased conveniently online on the official website or directly on-site. The Montaione stop is organized by Valica S.p.A. as part of the 'Most Beautiful Villages in Italy' circuit, with the patronage and support of the Municipality of Montaione.
The sixth edition of the traveling circuit Borgo diVino in Tour returns to Montaione (Province of Florence) from Friday, October 16 to Sunday, October 18, 2026. This is the only Tuscan stop on the 2026 calendar, included among the dates dedicated to the 'Most Beautiful Villages in Italy'.
For three days, the historic center, along Via Roma and in the town squares, hosts winery tasting stalls, a gastronomic area with typical Tuscan dishes, and live music events. The free admission formula is confirmed again this year, with the tasting voucher entitling holders to samples and a glass.
The detailed program—list of participating wineries, musical performances, and side events—will be announced by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the event. Check back on this page for updates.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition (list of participating wineries, concerts and shows, entertainment) will be published by the organizers closer to the event, approximately in the weeks before October 16, 2026.
