Antiques, vintage finds, and collectibles in a medieval village, every second Sunday of the month
The Vicopisano Collectibles, Antiques and Hobbyists Market is a staple of the Tuscan calendar: it takes place every second Sunday of the month, with the sole exception of the summer break in August. The setting is the evocative historic center of Vicopisano, a small town in the Province of Pisa famous for its medieval layout and the fortress designed by Filippo Brunelleschi.
Long considered one of the most popular and bustling markets in all of Tuscany, it attracts collectors, antiques enthusiasts, curious visitors, and families every month who take advantage of the Sunday to stroll among the stalls and the village alleys.
Exhibitors are spread along Piazza Domenico Cavalca, Via Lante up to the Clock Tower, Piazza della Chiesa, and the Ortaccio field, in the shadow of the medieval walls. The selection is wide and varied, ranging from:
One of the event's highlights is its connection to the historical heritage of Vicopisano. On market days, it is possible to visit the Rocca del Brunelleschi and the Clock Tower for free, with guided tours from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with no reservation required. It is the perfect opportunity to combine shopping at the stalls with discovering one of the most fascinating villages in the Pisan territory.
The market is part of a small circuit of local collectibles events: on the third Sunday of the month, the event moves to Lugnano with "Lugnano in the Attic". However, Vicopisano remains the heart of the event, capable of enlivening the village for an entire day and promoting the traditions of restoration, second-hand goods, and vintage design in one of Tuscany's most characteristic locations.
In 2026, the Collectibles, Antiques and Hobbyists Market will once again enliven the historic center of Vicopisano with its usual monthly frequency: every second Sunday of the month, excluding August. The dates already confirmed are February 8, March 8, April 12, May 10, and June 14, to which the autumn editions from September to December will be added.
The formula remains the one that has made this market one of the most beloved in Tuscany: dozens of exhibitors with period furniture, paintings, prints, vinyl records, radios, jewelry, and collectibles, spread between Piazza Domenico Cavalca, Via Lante, and the Ortaccio field.
Every second Sunday of the month, excluding August. Approximate market hours: 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
