A culinary stroll through the historic vaulted cellars of Revò, in the Val di Non
In the heart of the Val di Non, the village of Revò — now a district and seat of the Novella municipality in the province of Trento — preserves a historic center filled with ancient palaces, courtyards, and, most notably, vòuti: the vaulted archways and covered passages that define the town's traditional architecture. It is within these spaces that Portoni a Revò comes to life every spring, a food and wine festival that opens the doors of historic palaces to the public and transforms the village into a grand culinary trail.
The festival began as the Passeggiata Gastronomica (Gastronomic Walk) and has grown over the years to become one of the most anticipated spring events in the Upper Val di Non. In 2026, for its fifteenth edition, the event was renamed Portoni a Revò, a title that perfectly captures the spirit of opening the town's doors and vaulted cellars to welcome visitors.
The heart of the festival lies in the gastronomic hubs set up within the vaulted cellars and historic palaces, each managed by a local association under the coordination of the Pro Loco Revò and the Portoni Committee. Here, you can sample traditional Non Valley and Trentino cuisine: tripe, potato 'tortei' fritters, speck or cheese dumplings, 'carne salada', polenta with goulash, spätzle, sausages, and grilled cheese. Every dish is paired with Groppello di Revò, the village's signature native red wine, alongside other local vintages.
During the festival, local products — apples, cheeses, grappas, and of course wine — take center stage, and on Sunday, production sites open their doors for guided tours.
Portoni a Revò is designed for all ages. The garden of Casa Campia hosts an educational farm, workshops by the Hormè association, animated storytelling for children, and 'Pompieropoli', a fun obstacle course created by the Revò Volunteer Fire Department. The event also features traveling exhibitions along the village streets and live music, with bands, choirs, and young musicians providing the soundtrack for the weekend. The event is organized by the Pro Loco Revò APS in collaboration with numerous local associations and hundreds of volunteers.
The 2026 edition, the fifteenth and the first to bear the name Portoni a Revò, was held on Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, in the historic center of Revò (Novella municipality, Val di Non). Five gastronomic hubs managed by local associations operated within the village's vaulted cellars and palaces, serving traditional Non Valley and Trentino dishes paired with Groppello di Revò and other local wines. Activities for children and families took place at Casa Campia, while visitors could explore traveling exhibitions and enjoy live music along the village streets.

Revò can be reached by car from the Val di Non along the road bordering Lake Santa Giustina; it is about an hour's drive from Trento. During the festival, the historic center is pedestrianized.
Access to the festival and the town center is free; food and drinks at the gastronomic hubs are paid for on-site.
