About Festa dei Vouti

Every third weekend of August, the historic center of Coredo, a village in the municipality of Predaia in Val di Non, transforms into a grand stage for local flavors. The characteristic "vouti"—the town's ancient stone porticoes—are set up as tasting stations where local associations serve traditional peasant dishes. It is an evocative journey of bites and wine, complete with music, entertainment, and activities for all ages, organized by the Pro Loco of Coredo.

A festival born from the town's porticoes

The Festa dei Vouti is one of the most cherished summer events in Coredo, a village in the municipality of Predaia, nestled in the heart of the Val di Non in Trentino-Alto Adige. The name comes from "vouti," the characteristic stone porticoes and vaulted entrances of the historic center. During the festival, these ancient spaces are closed to traffic and transformed into tasting rooms, where visitors stroll from one to the next, savoring time-honored dishes.

Nonesa cuisine takes center stage

The heart of the event is the traditional cuisine of the Val di Non, prepared according to authentic peasant recipes. Under the porticoes, you will find the plateau's specialties: from potato tortelli and speck to polenta, tripe, and canederli, as well as desserts and fritters prepared by local associations. Each "vout" offers its own gastronomic selection, turning the entire route into a culinary itinerary to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace, accompanied by a fine glass of wine.

A community event

The festival is organized by the Pro Loco of Coredo with the involvement of numerous local groups: the teams managing the vouti, the Alpini, the marching band, the choir, the Rural Women's association, the volunteer firefighters, and the Red Cross. It is a collective effort by volunteers that keeps the village's identity alive and turns the historic center into a meeting place for residents and visitors alike.

Music, entertainment, and activities

  • Musical entertainment in the evenings, with concerts and live bands
  • Games and workshops for children, such as the Firefighters' "Pompieropoli"
  • Craft market, charity stall, and used book market
  • Demonstrations by local rescue and emergency associations

When and where

The Festa dei Vouti traditionally takes place on the third weekend of August, with dinner on Saturday and both lunch and dinner on Sunday, in the historic center of Coredo. Participation is open and admission is free: you only pay for what you choose to taste at the individual vouti. It is an ideal opportunity to discover the hospitality of the Val di Non and the authentic flavors of the Trentino mountains.

Festa dei Vouti — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of the Festa dei Vouti in Coredo (Predaia) is expected, as per tradition, during the month of August. Official dates and the program for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced by the Pro Loco of Coredo: we recommend checking the association's official channels for updates.

The Festa dei Vouti returns to Coredo, in the municipality of Predaia, during the usual August period. At the moment, the Pro Loco of Coredo has not yet communicated the official dates or the program for the 2026 edition. The format remains the traditional one: the ancient porticoes of the historic center set up as tasting stations for Nonesa cuisine, with music and entertainment for the whole family. Information will be published on the association's official channels in the weeks leading up to the event.
