Eroica Val di Non: mountain wine at Casa Campia

Eroica Val di Non is a festival dedicated to heroic mountain viticulture, hosted at Casa Campia, an elegant 16th-17th century Renaissance building in the heart of Revò, a village in the Municipality of Novella, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). Established in 2022, the event is a weekend designed for those who love to meet producers in person, hear their stories, and discover the deep bond between the land and the glass.

Heroic viticulture on the Anaunia plateau

In this corner of Trentino, vines proudly resist the encroachment of apple orchards, growing across an open, sunny plateau between 600 and 750 meters above sea level, overlooking Lake Santa Giustina. This is the home of Groppello di Revò, an indigenous grape variety and a micro-production that symbolizes the oenological identity of the Val di Non, whose cultivation requires extraordinary dedication—hence the term "heroic" viticulture.

Alongside tastings guided by sommeliers, the festival offers a food area featuring the historic Val di Non mortandela, a chestnut roast organized by the local Pro Loco of Revò, live music, workshops, and activities for children. A debate on the past, present, and future of viticulture completes the program, turning the event into an opportunity to reflect on the economic sustainability of mountain wines.

An autumn event

After its initial summer editions, the festival was moved to November to celebrate the autumn season, which pairs perfectly with new wine, and to coincide with the World Wine Tourism Day promoted by the European Network of Wine Cities and the traditions of Saint Martin.
