About Note in Cascina

Note in Cascina is a traveling festival bringing live music, guided tastings, and culture to the farmsteads and agricultural estates of the Turin area. Promoted by the Molecole d'Acqua APS Association with the support of the Turin Chamber of Commerce, it combines products from the Maestri del Gusto, Torino DOC, and Torino Cheese projects with great music in the atmosphere of a traditional farmyard celebration. The Poirino stop, held at Agrigelateria San Pè, kicks off the 2026 edition on Saturday, May 30th, with family activities, tastings, and a concert.

A celebration in the farmyard: food, music, and local heritage

Note in Cascina is a traveling food, wine, and music festival that tours the farmsteads and agricultural estates of the Piedmont region around Turin. The concept is simple and timeless: bringing the community back to the farmyard—the heart of traditional work and celebration—by pairing fine dining with live music and culture. Each event is hosted by a different agricultural producer, highlighting the hard work of those who cultivate and transform the region's raw materials.

The Poirino stop at Agrigelateria San Pè

The 2026 edition kicked off on Saturday, May 30, 2026, in the town of Poirino, in the Province of Turin, at the Agrigelateria San Pè on Strada Savona 2bis. The day began at 5:00 PM with an afternoon dedicated to families and children, featuring the nature-themed reading session "L'avventura degli Alberi" (The Adventure of the Trees) as part of the Nati per Leggere project, with free admission.

At 7:00 PM, the focus shifted to guided tastings featuring the Maestri del Gusto and producers from the Torino DOC and Torino Cheese projects, followed at 9:00 PM by a concert from Turin-based singer-songwriter Chiara Effe, winner of the 2018 Fabrizio De André Award.

Tastings with the Maestri del Gusto

The common thread of the festival is the promotion of the food and wine excellence of the Turin area. The Poirino stop featured numerous artisanal and agricultural businesses, including:

  • Agrigelateria San Pè, the host venue
  • Panificio Fabaro and Pasticceria Roletti 1896
  • Cascina Rubina and the Terre dei Santi cooperative
  • Macelleria Gramaglia
  • Birrificio Grado Plato
  • Cioccolato Calcagno 1946

A project for the territory

The festival is promoted by the Molecole d'Acqua APS Association with the support of the Turin Chamber of Commerce. The goal is to narrate the territory through its local products, accompanying tastings with singer-songwriter music and cultural moments open to all ages. Over the years, Note in Cascina has grown as a traveling format, visiting different farmsteads and agricultural estates in the Turin and Canavese areas each year.

Practical information

Participation in children's activities is free; a promotional ticket of 15 euros is required for the tastings and concert. Booking via the organizer's website is recommended.
