A widespread collective exhibition for the tenth anniversary of the Studio Museo Felice Casorati
In the heart of Pavarolo, a small village in the Chieri hills within the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont, the Studio Museo Felice Casorati celebrates its tenth anniversary with La Via Lattea. 10 Years of Exhibitions in Pavarolo. Inaugurated on Saturday, May 16, 2026, the exhibition retraces the artistic journey begun in 2016 in the studio that the great painter from Novara chose as his creative refuge, transforming it over time into a key cultural landmark for the region.
The project is designed as a widespread collective exhibition, spread across four locations in the village that engage in a dialogue with one another:
The exhibition brings together more than thirty artists, intertwining historic masters linked to Pavarolo with voices from the contemporary international scene. Alongside Felice Casorati and Francesco Casorati, the lineup includes Daphne Maugham Casorati, Mabel Hardy Maugham, Carlo Levi, and Francesco Menzio, joined by contemporary artists such as Kiki Smith, Hiba Schahbaz, and Gosia Turzeniecka. The title recalls La Via Lattea, the art magazine Casorati founded in 1913: a constellation of works orbiting his legacy, arranged in a non-chronological montage that explores memory, identity, nature, the body, landscape, and transformation.
Since 2016, the Studio Museo has hosted annual monographic and collective exhibitions, building a constant dialogue between 20th-century heritage and current creation. La Via Lattea gathers and relaunches this work, presenting to the public the essence of a project that has made Pavarolo a small capital of art in the Turin hills.
The exhibition is open in two periods: from May 17 to June 28, 2026, and, after the summer break, from September 27 to November 8, 2026. It is open to the public on Sunday afternoons, with group visits available by appointment on weekdays as well. Admission is free.
The anniversary edition unfolds across four venues in the village of Pavarolo: Studio Museo Casorati, Veranda di Casa Casorati, Torre Campanaria, and Ex Emporio. The exhibition brings together over thirty artists and a video art section titled Visionaria.
The inauguration was held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM. The exhibition remains open to visitors in two phases: from May 17 to June 28 and, after the summer break, from September 27 to November 8, 2026.
