The absolute star is the Royal Castle of Govone, a Savoy residence and UNESCO World Heritage site, which dresses up for the occasion and hosts the famous Santa's Home with its live musical show.
Santa's Home and its performances
Inside the castle halls, visitors of all ages are guided through an animated journey filled with music, meticulously crafted sets, and characters that bring the magic of the holidays to life. The Santa's Home show is a live musical designed for families, where you can meet Santa Claus in his fairytale realm. Alongside this narrative core, other activities unfold: the Elf School (Elf Academy), where children aged 4 and up undergo fun training to become Santa's helpers and receive their apprentice elf diploma, and the Decorate Your Christmas workshop, where little ones create a wooden ornament to take home.

All around the castle, a charming Christmas market is set up with about 50 wooden chalets, where you can find gift ideas, handicrafts, and typical products from the Langhe and Roero regions. On the castle's main floor, the Christmas at the House of Savoy exhibition offers a journey through time into the Christmas traditions of the Savoy dynasty, featuring period displays, historical nativity scenes, and an atmosphere of days gone by. The Christmas Workshop completes the offering with gastronomic specialties and artisanal products.

2026 Edition – The 20th Anniversary of the Magical Christmas Village
For its twentieth edition, The Magical Christmas Village animates Govone from November 14 to December 20, 2026. The Royal Castle of Govone hosts Santa's Home with its usual live musical show, the Elf School, the Decorate Your Christmas workshop, and a market of about 50 wooden chalets within the castle walls.
Among the novelties and events of the twentieth anniversary, the main floor of the castle welcomes the Christmas at the House of Savoy exhibition, dedicated to the Christmas traditions of the Savoy dynasty. The opening of the castle and the shows is scheduled for the weekends of the period, with indicative hours from 10:00 AM to 6:45 PM.

Where it takes place
Activities in Govone are held at the Royal Castle of Govone and in the village's historic center (Cuneo province). The castle is situated on a hill: the climb is quite steep and access to the Royal Castle has architectural barriers, while Santa's Home, the Elf School, and the market are more easily accessible.
How to get there
By car via the A33 Asti-Cuneo motorway (exits Costigliole d'Asti/Govone). By train, the nearest stations are Costigliole d'Asti or San Damiano d'Asti. Bus connections are available from Asti (Autolinee Giachino, approx. €3.70 round trip). Parking is available (Schools, Producers, Cemetery for campers); a paid shuttle service (€1 per person) runs from the Industrial Area on Saturdays, Sundays, and December 8th.
Admission and tickets
Access to the market is free and open, with no ticket or reservation required. Shows and activities (Santa's Home, Elf School, Decorate Your Christmas) require a ticket, which can be purchased online at ciaotickets.com: advance booking is recommended, and it is advised to arrive about an hour before the show time.
