Experience the Park of the Castle of Racconigi, from April to October
EFFIMERA is the way the Park of the Castle of Racconigi, in the heart of the Province of Cuneo and Piedmont, returns to life. Promoted by the Savoy Royal Residences with the support of the Fondazione CRC and in collaboration with the City of Racconigi, the festival opens spaces to the public that are normally closed: the monumental Margaria Complex, a jewel of European neo-Gothic architecture, the Royal Greenhouses, and the Princes' Garden.
The title is no coincidence: ephemeral evokes the very nature of the program. Each appointment is a unique event, conceived in relation to the Park and its continuous transformation with the changing seasons. From April 6th to October 11th, over 22 days, the schedule alternates special openings, live performances, cinema under the stars, tours with agronomists, and activities designed for families.
The festival weaves together different languages: contemporary circus with the all-female show by the Collettivo Binario Zero, theater with local companies, open-air cinema with evening screenings in the Park, music for the Music Festival, and astronomical observation curated by the Turin Planetarium. There is no shortage of workshops for children with puppets and marionettes, and nature tours accompanied by the Royal Residences' agronomists, with picnics in the Garden.
The Castle of Racconigi is one of the Savoy Royal Residences included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. A historic country residence of the House of Savoy, it is surrounded by a vast English-style park that houses the Margaria, a neo-Gothic agricultural complex designed as a model farm. EFFIMERA allows you to discover this heritage from a new perspective, returning corners of the Park to the public that are usually off-limits.
The 2026 festival transforms the Park of the Castle of Racconigi into a widespread stage from April 6 to October 11. Each event engages with the Park and its seasons, alternating shows, screenings, workshops, and tours with the Royal Residences' agronomists.
