A festival dedicated to the king of the Turin hills

Every year, on the second weekend of November, the village of Rivalba, nestled in the rolling hills east of Turin, transforms into the capital of the prized white truffle (Tuber Magnatum Pico). The National Market Exhibition of the White Truffle of the Turin Hills is an event with over thirty years of history, officially recognized as a "National" fair since 2012, confirming the value of the truffles harvested in this corner of Piedmont.

The truffle of the Turin Hills

The white truffle of Rivalba is considered a true calling card for the region: it grows in the woods and along the streams of the Turin hills, where the humidity and the clayey nature of the soil produce highly aromatic specimens. During the fair, it is possible to meet the trifolao, the truffle hunters who scour the hills with their dogs, and discover the secrets of an ancient activity passed down from generation to generation.

• Gastronomic PalaTartufo — the heart of the event, where you can enjoy typical Piedmontese dishes enhanced by the 'trifola', prepared by local associations such as the Gruppo La Trona, the Pro Loco, and the Oratorio di Rivalba.
• Market exhibition — stalls featuring fresh white truffles and local food, wine, and craft products from the Turin hills.
• Expo della Collina — a showcase for local producers and regional excellence.
• Conferences and tastings — meetings on the importance of the truffle for the local economy and guided tastings pairing truffles with wines and spirits.

A weekend of aromas and tradition

The fair is organized by the Municipality of Rivalba together with the Pro Loco Rivalbese and local associations, under the patronage of the Management Body of the Piedmontese Po Protected Areas. More than just a market, it is a village festival dedicated to enjoying good company, attracting thousands of visitors and enthusiasts every year to the streets and squares of this small town in the Province of Turin, in the heart of Piedmont.
