The antique and second-hand market in the heart of Carmagnola
Mercantico is one of the most beloved and enduring antique markets in the Turin area. Established in 1987, for nearly forty years it has enlivened the historic center of Carmagnola, a city in the Province of Turin and the Piedmont region famous for its porticoes and peppers. Once a month, the streets and squares of the center fill with stalls and curious visitors, turning the entire old town into a large open-air market.
The fair occupies the charming streets and squares of the historic center and the surrounding areas. The heart of the event winds along Via Valobra, Piazza IV Martiri, and Corso Matteotti, under the city's characteristic porticoes. Strolling among the stalls is also a great opportunity to discover the shops, cafes, and historic buildings of the Carmagnola town center.
Mercantico is dedicated to small antiques, curiosities, and second-hand goods. At the stalls, you can find:
Hundreds of exhibitors participate in the events, including professional dealers and private individuals clearing out their cellars and attics. It is a paradise for those who love to browse, haggle, and take home that one-of-a-kind find.
The date is fixed: the second Sunday of every month, with the sole exception of August. The hours are from 9 am to 6 pm, and admission is completely free. A perfect opportunity for a day trip in Piedmont to discover Carmagnola.

As it is a market, there is no artistic program: the "line-up" consists of the exhibitors' stalls, which vary at each edition.
