About BRA'S

BRA'S is the major biennial food and wine festival that transforms the historic center of Bra, in the province of Cuneo, into a widespread celebration dedicated to the famous Bra Sausage and the culinary treasures of Piedmont: Bra DOP cheese, local bread, and rice. Between the arcades of Corso Garibaldi and Piazza XX Settembre, the event features show cooking with Michelin-starred chefs, guided tastings, masterclasses, and talks, attracting over 80,000 visitors in 2024. The 2026 edition takes place from September 17th to 20th.

BRA'S, the Bra Sausage Festival

BRA'S is the biennial food and wine festival that brings the historic center of Bra, a city in the province of Cuneo in the heart of Piedmont, to life. Launched in 2019 and organized by the Bra Sausage Consortium together with Confcommercio Ascom Bra and the Municipality, the event celebrates the city's signature product—the Bra Sausage—alongside other great local delicacies: Bra DOP cheese, bread, and rice. The event is held in alternating years, rotating with the international Cheese fair, and represents one of the most beloved gastronomic gatherings in the Cuneo area.

A product unique in the world

The Bra Sausage is a unique item in the Italian gastronomic landscape: made primarily with veal and enriched with spices, its recipe dates back to the 19th century and was officially recognized by a Royal Savoy Decree that authorized its production in Bra. Even today, it can only be produced by a very limited number of authorized butchers, making it a true rarity. BRA'S builds a narrative around this product, centered on tradition, craftsmanship, and haute cuisine.

The festival program

For four days, the arcades of Corso Garibaldi and Piazza XX Settembre turn into a grand culinary journey. The public can enjoy numerous experiences:

  • Show cooking and gala dinners with the participation of Michelin-starred chefs from Piedmont and across Italy;
  • Guided tastings and masterclasses dedicated to sausage, cheeses, and local wines;
  • The Piedmont Excellence Square, featuring the best regional producers;
  • Talks and interviews with major figures in Italian food and wine;
  • Dedicated family and children's areas, with workshops and fun activities;
  • Live shows and music in the city's squares.

Bra, a city of good living

Bra is one of the capitals of the Slow Food movement and one of Italy's "Città Slow": hosting BRA'S in its historic center means bringing a food culture based on local roots, seasonality, and respect for producers to the public square. The festival is also an opportunity to discover the city, its Baroque palaces, civic museums, and the surrounding Langhe and Roero regions. In Piedmont, a land of great wines and truffle festivals, BRA'S has carved out a prominent place among events that showcase the region's gastronomic identity.

A growing appointment

The editions have followed one another with increasing success: the 2024 edition exceeded 80,000 visitors in a single weekend and featured award-winning chefs in the kitchen. The 2026 edition, which has received national recognition, promises to confirm and expand this trajectory, once again bringing enthusiasts, curious visitors, and food lovers from all over Italy to Bra.

BRA'S 2026

The fifth edition of BRA'S returns to Bra from September 17th to 20th, 2026, confirming its status as one of the most anticipated food and wine events in the Cuneo area.
