Three days of street food from around the world under Lugo's Pavaglione
International Street Food is the most important travelling event dedicated to street food in Italy. The festival stops in Lugo, an important centre in Bassa Romagna in the province of Ravenna, choosing the splendid Pavaglione as its setting, the famous monumental four-sided portico surrounding Piazza dei Martiri, which has been the commercial and social heart of the city for centuries. For three days, the loggia is filled with stands, aromas, and flavours from every corner of the planet.
The Lugo edition is one of the many stops that International Street Food makes every year from north to south of the peninsula. The event is organised by A.I.R.S. - Associazione Italiana Ristoratori di Strada (Italian Association of Street Restaurateurs), in collaboration with Confartigianato Ravenna and with the patronage of the Municipality of Lugo. The aim is to promote the culture of quality street food, showcasing both Italian regional specialities and international cuisines.
The stands offer a rich and varied gastronomic journey: from Spanish churros to Hungarian kurtos, from Apulian bombette to Angus hamburgers, from Abruzzese arrosticini to Venezuelan, Mexican, and Argentinian cuisines. There is also Italian and foreign craft beer, traditional Prague beer, and typical Italian and international desserts. A fully gluten-free truck, certified for those with gluten intolerance, is also expected.
International Street Food in Lugo is a convivial and popular event, designed to be enjoyed outdoors with company. The atmosphere of the Pavaglione, with its arcades and square, makes the experience even more evocative, combining gastronomic discovery with the charm of the historic Romagna town centre. Admission is free for the entire duration of the event, in true street food style.
