About Solarolo Oktoberfest
A beer festival in the heart of Romagna
In the Municipality of Solarolo, in the province of Ravenna, the Solarolo Oktoberfest is one of the most anticipated events of late summer. For three September evenings, the central Piazza Garibaldi fills with tables, beer mugs, and music, recreating the convivial spirit of the famous Munich festival in a Romagna style. The Pro Loco of Solarolo organizes everything, and has been managing this event for years with the support of local entities like the BCC of Western Romagna.
Twinning with Kirchheim am Ries
What makes the Solarolo Oktoberfest special is its connection with Germany. Since 1999, Solarolo has been twinned with Kirchheim am Ries, a small municipality in Baden-Württemberg, and every year the event becomes an opportunity to meet friends from the Unisono association, who come to Romagna to prepare and present their gastronomic specialties. It's an authentic cultural exchange between two European communities, built around food, beer, and music.
What to eat and drink
The food stand combines two identities: on one hand, typical German dishes brought by guests from Kirchheim am Ries; on the other, traditional Romagna specialties from the Pro Loco. All accompanied by authentic Oktoberfest German beer, the true star of the evenings.

Music and atmosphere
Each evening comes alive with a live concert starting around 8:30 PM, with different bands each year. The atmosphere is that of a young and carefree village festival, where families, groups of friends, and beer enthusiasts gather under the tents in the square. In recent editions, Saturday has also featured an afternoon market, completing the event's program in the heart of Solarolo, in Emilia-Romagna.
Solarolo Oktoberfest — edition 2026
The Solarolo Oktoberfest 2026 is expected to take place in mid-September in the usual setting of Piazza Garibaldi, in the center of Solarolo. The format will be the same as always: a food stand with German and Romagna specialties, authentic German beer, and a live concert every evening, in the spirit of the twinning with Kirchheim am Ries.
The dates of September 17-19, 2026 are currently only reported by aggregator sites and not yet confirmed by the official Pro Loco website. The musical program with the band names has also not been announced. This page will be updated as soon as the Pro Loco of Solarolo publishes the official dates and lineup.

- Opening of the food stand from 7:00 PM (from 6:30 PM on Saturdays), with typical German dishes, Romagna specialties, and German draft beer;
- Live concert every evening starting at 8:30 PM, with different bands each night;
- in recent editions, a market on Saturday afternoon.

By car: Solarolo is easily reached from the Via Emilia (SS9) between Imola and Faenza, a few minutes from the Faenza exit of the A14 motorway. By train: Solarolo station is on the Bologna-Rimini line.

Admission
Entry to the festival area is free; you only pay for what you consume at the food stand.
