The event takes place over three consecutive evenings at the Parco del Donatore in Ceragoso di Gavedo, a green space that transforms into a vibrant, open-air celebration.

The event is organized by the Gruppo Donatori Sangue Fratres Mulazzo ODV, the local association of volunteer blood donors. Traditionally, a 'frascata' is a celebration held under a pergola or summer arbor; here, it becomes an occasion for gathering and solidarity, as the proceeds support the group's activities and the promotion of blood donation.

The heart of the Frascata del Donatore lies in its food stalls, which offer specialties of Lunigiana cuisine every evening. Among the most beloved dishes featured at the event are:
