The monthly antiques and modern design market in the gardens of Piazza Dante, Versilia
In the heart of Forte dei Marmi, the pearl of Versilia in the province of Lucca, the gardens of Piazza Dante host one of the most popular antique fairs on the Tuscan coast once a month. The Forte dei Marmi Antique Fair — also known as the Forte Antique Market — is a recurring event that enlivens the weekend with stalls, open-air displays, and the relaxed atmosphere of an elegant yet unpretentious seaside resort.
The exhibitors, a group of about sixty qualified professionals, offer an assortment ranging from fine antiques to small modern design pieces. Among the stalls, you can find:
It is the ideal place for those looking for a unique item, for experienced collectors, or simply for those who want to browse and soak up some history between a walk along the promenade and a stop at the pier.
The fair follows a regular schedule: it is held on the second Saturday and Sunday of every month, from March to December. In January and February, the event takes a winter break. The stalls remain open all day, from morning to evening, making it easy to combine your visit with a day at the beach or a trip to Versilia.
The Antique Fair is part of the rich agenda of events in the Municipality of Forte dei Marmi, alongside the famous Tuesday and Saturday market in Piazza Marconi and the season's cultural initiatives. For visitors, it represents an opportunity to discover the most authentic and refined soul of Versilia, away from luxury boutiques and immersed in the charm of objects that tell stories of bygone eras. The setting of the shaded, central Piazza Dante gardens makes strolling through the stalls pleasant in every season, from spring to autumn.
