Great chamber music up close with the audience, between Rocca Sanvitale and the Oratorio dell'Assunta
A Tu per Tu – Incontri Musicali is the historic concert series in Sala Baganza, a municipality in the Province of Parma located at the foot of the Apennines, in Emilia-Romagna. The name says it all: the idea is precisely to put the audience face to face with the performers, in intimate spaces where music is listened to up close, without the distance of large concert halls. Directed by Maestro Claudio Piastra, the festival is promoted by the Municipality of Sala Baganza together with ParmaOperArt and enjoys the support of the Tittarelli family.
The concerts take place in two symbolic locations in the town. In spring and autumn-winter, music resonates in the Oratorio dell'Assunta, with its warm and enveloping acoustics. In summer, however, the events move outdoors to the charming courtyard of Rocca Sanvitale, the castle that dominates the historic center of Sala Baganza, for evening concerts under the starry sky.
The 2026 edition, the twentieth, confirms the festival's winning formula: seven concerts spread throughout the year, from March 1st to December. The program alternates great names in international concert performance with young emerging talents, ranging from the baroque music of Bach and Vivaldi to 19th-century grand opera, up to contemporary music.
Now in its twentieth edition in 2026, A Tu per Tu has carved out a significant place for itself over the years in the cultural landscape of the Province of Parma, a land with a strong Verdi and operatic musical tradition. The festival is entirely free admission, a choice that makes it a beloved and accessible event, capable of attracting enthusiasts from Parma and throughout Emilia-Romagna.
For its twentieth anniversary, the A Tu per Tu festival offers seven free concerts in Sala Baganza (PR), from March to December, under the artistic direction of Maestro Claudio Piastra. Spring and autumn take place in the Oratorio dell'Assunta, summer in the courtyard of Rocca Sanvitale.
