The all-white festival celebrating the flavors of the Gargano in Manfredonia
Fichi di Puglia – White Party Under the Stars is the food and wine event that enlivens Piazza Giovanni XXIII—the scenic Piazza Duomo of Manfredonia, in the province of Foggia—every summer. For one night, the square transforms into an open-air lounge entirely dressed in white, where tables, decorations, and guests follow a refined total-white dress code that evokes the light of Apulian summer nights and the community spirit of the city.
At the heart of the event is the fig, one of the most beloved symbols of the rural landscape of Puglia and the Gargano. This fruit and its jams are the centerpiece of a culinary journey showcasing the region's finest products: from taralli to fresh dairy, from handmade orecchiette to the famous bombette, all the way to artisanal desserts and local wines.
The concept is simple and convivial: a single ticket grants access to a true gastronomic tour, curated by local businesses in the historic center and the Pro Loco of Manfredonia, which organizes the event. Each stop offers a local specialty paired with a glass of wine, in a relaxed and festive atmosphere that brings together residents and visitors alike.
The evening is not just about tasting: the square comes alive with live music from local bands, accompanying the audience late into the night. The event was created to highlight the flavors, traditions, and excellence of Manfredonia and the Gargano, while promoting the historic center and food and wine tourism in Puglia.
Launched in 2025 as the closing event of the summer season, Fichi di Puglia has quickly established itself as one of the most anticipated evenings in Manfredonia, filling Piazza Duomo with residents and tourists dressed in white.
For its second edition, Fichi di Puglia – White Party Under the Stars returned on Friday, June 26, 2026, in Piazza Giovanni XXIII (Piazza Duomo) in Manfredonia, organized by the Pro Loco of Manfredonia in collaboration with local businesses. The square was dressed in white, transforming into an elegant open-air lounge crowded with citizens and visitors in total white.
The food and wine tour celebrated the excellence of the Gargano and Capitanata regions, from taralli to bombette, from orecchiette to almond gelato with fig jam, all paired with local wines. The evening's soundtrack was provided by the live music of the group Terranima. The event saw a large turnout.
Multi-stop culinary tour with a single ticket. The tasting kit (glass holder, wine glass, and hat) provided access to the entire gastronomic itinerary:
Included in the tour were a glass of sparkling wine and a glass of wine (white, red, or rosé) from the wineries d'Araprì (San Severo), Cantine Borgo Turrito, and Cantine Decanto.
Before the party, a masterclass was held at Moody al Campanile dedicated to the D'Araprì winery of San Severo, featuring a tasting of three labels and an explanation of production techniques. The evening in the square was accompanied by live music from the group Terranima.
