The summer event calendar of the Municipality of Peschici on the Gargano
L'estate Addosso is the unified summer event calendar promoted by the Municipality of Peschici, one of the most picturesque villages on the Gargano promontory, in the province of Foggia, in the heart of Apulia. Launched in 2023, the project brings together dozens of events from June to September under a single direction, with the goal of showcasing the town's identity through music, culture, sports, and traditions. As Mayor Luigi D'Arenzo has emphasized, the idea is to offer "an authentic and engaging experience capable of telling the story of Peschici through culture, music, and tradition."
The program is widely distributed, animating Piazza Pertini, Corso Garibaldi, Piazza Sant'Antonio, the alleys of the historic center, and the port area. Each summer, the calendar features around forty events ranging from major concerts in the square to literary and theatrical festivals, white nights, food festivals, craft beer and culinary events, as well as sports and religious celebrations. A multidisciplinary program designed for both residents and tourists, accompanying the entire beach season of this village overlooking the Adriatic.
The musical theme is the heart of the festival, featuring concerts by national artists in Piazza Pertini, the Note di Mare festival, the historic Peschi...Jazz, brass band concerts, and talent contests for young Gargano artists. Alongside the music, there is space for the Ju Buk literary and theatrical festival, book presentations, the Gargano Beer Fest dedicated to craft beer, food and wine festivals highlighting typical Gargano products and flavors of the sea, as well as activities for children and families.
A central moment of the Peschici summer is represented by the celebrations in honor of Sant'Elia Profeta, the patron saint of Peschici, which take place in mid-July with religious rites, processions, illuminations, and shows. The calendar also gives great prominence to the village's maritime identity, including the famous trabucchi of the coast, sea races, and events linked to fishing traditions. It is this blend of sea, folk culture, and major events that makes L'estate Addosso one of the richest festivals on the Gargano coast.
The fourth edition of the Municipality of Peschici's summer calendar offers about forty events from June to September 2026. Among the most anticipated moments are the concert by Francesco Renga on July 1st in Piazza Pertini, as part of the Embi Festival and the Note di Mare festival, and the show by Mauro Repetto, historic founder of 883, with the "Non solo 883 Live Tour 2026" accompanied by comedian Uccio De Santis on July 27th. There will also be the Gargano Beer Fest dedicated to craft beer, white nights, the Ju Buk literary and theatrical festival, the historic Peschi...Jazz, and the celebrations in honor of Sant'Elia Profeta from July 18th to 21st.
Peschici is located on the Gargano promontory, in the province of Foggia. By car, it can be reached from the A14 motorway (Poggio Imperiale or San Severo exit), continuing towards the Gargano along the SS693 and SS89 roads. The nearest train station is Foggia, which is connected by bus lines and, during the summer, by the Ferrovie del Gargano train to Calenella-Peschici. The nearest airport is Bari-Palese.
Many events on the calendar have free admission; some concerts and shows may require a ticket. The complete program, with dates and locations, is released by the Municipality of Peschici and through local institutional and tourist channels. Given the high summer turnout, it is advisable to book accommodation in advance.
