Borgo in Bianco is the evening food and wine event that transforms the historic center of Vieste, the pearl of the Gargano in the province of Foggia, into an elegant open-air lounge dressed entirely in white. Launched in 2025, the event is dedicated to those who love to enjoy summer until the very last toast, when the peak beach tourism gives way to a more intimate and refined rhythm among the ancient alleys overlooking the Adriatic Sea.
A journey through white and sparkling wines
The heart of the event is an extensive food and wine trail that winds through the narrow streets and small squares of the old town. Over thirty wineries offer around sixty labels of white and sparkling wines, mostly expressions of the Apulian and Gargano territory, accompanied by about twenty local venues and restaurants serving gourmet dishes and authentic flavors.

Borgo in Bianco — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Borgo in Bianco, the second of the event, will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in the historic center of Vieste. From 7:00 PM, the alleys of the old town will host the food and wine trail with local wineries, venues, and restaurateurs, while music and street performers animate the squares and terraces.
The formula that characterized the first edition is confirmed: tastings of white and sparkling wines selected by AIS sommeliers, a white dress code with a complimentary tasting for those who follow it, and free guided tours of local wineries. The event is promoted by the Municipality of Vieste in collaboration with the Foggia delegation of AIS and the operators of the historic center.

How to get there
By car: Vieste can be reached via the SS693 and the Gargano roads; the historic center is pedestrianized, so it is recommended to use the parking lots near the town. By train: the reference stations are San Severo and Foggia, connected to Vieste by bus lines. In summer, sea connections are available from Peschici, Rodi Garganico, and the Tremiti Islands.

Entry to the tasting trail requires a ticket, which includes several tastings, the official wine glass, and a glass holder. Tickets are available online on the official website and at authorized sales points in the city.
