Evening Stroll with Murazzano is one of the most characteristic food and wine events in the municipality of Murazzano, a small perched village in the Alta Langa of the Cuneo province, Piedmont. The format is that of a traveling dinner: instead of sitting at a table, guests walk along the streets and squares of the historic center, stopping at various stations where courses of traditional Langhe cuisine are served one by one.

A route through alleys and panoramic views

The journey begins at Piazza Umberto I and winds through the village's most evocative alleys and streets, including Via della Parrocchiale, Via della Torre, and the gardens of Palazzo Tovegni, before returning to the starting point after traversing the most beautiful corners of the village. It is a route designed to help participants discover, step by step, the historical and architectural heritage of Murazzano, illuminated by the evening lights.

The flavors of the territory

The evening is organized into a series of gastronomic stops alternating with wine tasting points. The undisputed queen of the table is the Tuma di Murazzano DOP, the sheep's milk cheese that gives the event its name and represents one of the finest dairy products of the Langhe. Alongside it, other local specialties are featured, from crostini with cheese mousse to ravioli with butter and sage, local cured meats, and hazelnut-based desserts. The dishes are accompanied by wines from the surrounding hills, with Dolcetto di Dogliani taking center stage in the tastings.

Music, culture, and a starry sky

Beyond the culinary aspect, the event offers live music and entertainment along the route. In past editions, the evening has been enriched with concerts, performances, and guided astronomical observations, in an atmosphere that blends taste, culture, and conviviality. The event often serves as a backdrop for the awards ceremony of the Vivere Murazzano photo contest, dedicated to images of the village and its territory.

Organized by the Pro Loco with the support of the Municipality of Murazzano, the traveling dinner has become a fixed appointment of the Alta Langa summer over the years, attracting visitors from all over the province of Cuneo and beyond. It is a perfect opportunity for those who want to discover authentic Piedmontese food and wine while strolling through a village that overlooks the UNESCO World Heritage hills.
