The travelling food and wine festival of Italy's most beautiful villages arrives in Castagnole delle Lanze
When autumn arrives, the historic centre of Castagnole delle Lanze (Asti province, Piedmont) transforms into a vast open-air wine cellar. Borgo diVino in Tour is the travelling food and wine festival promoted by the I Borghi più belli d'Italia (Most Beautiful Villages of Italy) association and organised by Valica S.p.A. Every year, it visits some of the most picturesque villages in the country to showcase local territories through their wines. Castagnole delle Lanze, overlooking the hills between the Langhe and Monferrato, is one of the most anticipated stops on the Piedmontese tour.
For three days, the squares and alleys of the historic centre host a tasting trail with stalls dedicated to various wineries. There are over 30 wineries from all over Italy: alongside Piedmontese labels, visitors can discover producers from Tuscany, Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige, Sicily, Abruzzo, Lazio, Basilicata, Calabria, and Puglia. With a single tasting voucher, visitors receive a wine glass and can freely choose their samples from the participating wineries, accompanied by an educational trail that tells the story of the world of wine and its traditions.
Wine is not alone: along the route, a gourmet area offers local specialities, from Piedmontese plin pasta to hazelnut cake, and traditional rustic dishes. In the evening, the village comes alive with concerts and live music performances, while the historic houses and architecture of the centre provide a stunning backdrop. It is a perfect opportunity to discover Castagnole delle Lanze and the food and wine of the Asti hills in a festive, accessible atmosphere.
Borgo diVino in Tour is a national showcase for small villages and their producers. The Castagnole delle Lanze stop, which has even been presented at the Chamber of Deputies, confirms the municipality's commitment to enhancing the wine heritage and traditions of the Monferrato area, in an event that combines regional promotion, wine culture, and tourism.
The 2026 stop of Borgo diVino in Tour in Castagnole delle Lanze (AT) will be held from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 October. The event, promoted by the 'I Borghi più belli d'Italia' association, has also been presented at the Chamber of Deputies and confirms the established formula: over 30 Italian wineries, tasting stalls along the streets of the historic centre, an educational wine trail, a gourmet area with traditional dishes, and live music in the evenings.
The detailed programme for the 2026 stop — concerts, list of wineries, and any side activities — will be announced on official channels in the weeks leading up to the event.
The musical line-up and the full list of participating wineries for the 2026 edition will be announced on the tour's official channels in the weeks prior to the event.
