About ORMA – Resté

In Cerretto Langhe, nestled in the heart of the Langhe region in the province of Cuneo, Resté returns in 2026. This contemporary art project is part of the regional program ORMA – Tracce d'artista in Langhe Monferrato Roero. From May to November 2026, the village hosts artist residencies, permanent landscape installations, exhibitions, and participatory practices that weave together art, community, and UNESCO-listed hills. A slow-paced experience to be enjoyed while wandering through vineyards, hamlets, and artworks scattered across the territory.

Resté: Art that remains in the landscape

Resté – contemporary art paths and experiences is a widespread project spanning the municipalities of Cerretto Langhe, Diano d'Alba, Montelupo Albese, and Rodello, in the heart of the Langhe in the province of Cuneo, Piedmont. In 2026, Resté enters its fourth year, solidifying its role as a cultural platform capable of bringing contemporary art out of museums and into the hilly landscape, among vineyards, villages, and hamlets.

Unlike a traditional festival, Resté focuses on permanent artistic interventions and participatory practices: the works are not merely exhibited, but remain in the territory, engaging in a dialogue with the community that inhabits it. The project's name itself plays on this concept of staying, dwelling, and leaving a mark.

Cerretto Langhe and the ORMA program

Resté is one of the projects comprising ORMA – Tracce d'artista in Langhe Monferrato Roero, the major initiative promoted by the Langhe Monferrato Roero Tourism Board. From May to November 2026, it connects over 60 municipalities through various contemporary art experiences and artist residencies, under the patronage of the Piedmont Region. Cerretto Langhe, a small village of a few hundred inhabitants overlooking the Cuneo hills, thus becomes part of a regional artistic map that unites the Langhe, Monferrato, and Roero areas.

Residencies, exhibitions, and community

The heart of the project lies in its artist residencies, carried out in collaboration with entities such as Farm Cultural Park, the GART – Galleria d'Arte di Neive, and, for the PoEM collective, the Teatro Stabile di Torino – National Theatre. Artists live in the territory for several days, exploring it and producing new works in close contact with the locals.

  • Artist residencies with the production of new works
  • Permanent installations in the landscape
  • Exhibitions, workshops, and meetings open to the community
  • Theatrical performances and participatory moments

Art to be experienced on foot

Visiting Resté in Cerretto Langhe means combining the discovery of contemporary art with one of Italy's most celebrated landscapes: the UNESCO World Heritage wine-growing hills of the Langhe. Between residencies and exhibitions, visitors can traverse vineyards, hamlets, and scenic viewpoints in a slow-paced journey that connects artworks, landscapes, and the people of the Province of Cuneo.

ORMA – Resté — edition 2026

In 2026, Resté enters its fourth year, bringing a dense calendar of artist residencies, exhibitions, and permanent installations to Cerretto Langhe and the other project villages. The program is part of ORMA – Tracce d'artista, which animates over 60 municipalities in the Langhe Monferrato Roero area from May to November 2026. Featuring international residencies, new productions, and a final exhibition, the 2026 edition confirms its vocation for widespread, participatory contemporary art in the landscape.

The 2026 edition of Resté confirms the formula of contemporary art scattered across Cerretto Langhe, Diano d'Alba, Montelupo Albese, and Rodello, within the regional program ORMA – Tracce d'artista in Langhe Monferrato Roero (May-November 2026). The fourth year of the project consolidates the network of collaborations with Farm Cultural Park, the GART – Galleria d'Arte di Neive, and the Teatro Stabile di Torino – National Theatre, offering a path that crosses residencies, exhibitions, workshops, and new site-specific productions in the Langhe landscape.
