Bene Vagienna is famous for its wide, ancient porticoes that run along the main streets like Via Roma and the adjacent squares: this natural shelter allows exhibitors to work under cover and visitors to stroll in comfort even in the rain.

The market's name is a direct nod to the town's Roman origins. Bene Vagienna is located near the ancient Roman city of Augusta Bagiennorum, whose archaeological remains can still be visited near the center, while artifacts are housed in the Palazzo Lucerna di Rorà museum. Augusta Antiquaria follows a specific schedule: it is held on the fifth Sunday of the month, whenever the calendar features a month with five Sundays, plus a special edition dedicated to May 1st. This rhythm makes every appointment a highly anticipated and unique event.
