The great chocolate festival in Turin, in Piazza Vittorio Veneto
CioccolaTò is the most delicious food and wine event in the Piedmontese capital: every year, in the heart of the City of Turin, Piazza Vittorio Veneto turns into a grand village dedicated to chocolate, the iconic product of Savoyard confectionery identity. Promoted by the Turin Chamber of Commerce and the City of Turin, and organized by Turismo Torino e Provincia with the support of the Piedmont Region, the festival is one of the most anticipated winter events in Turin.
The exhibition area in Piazza Vittorio Veneto hosts about 70 stands with around sixty exhibitors, including the Maestri del Gusto (Masters of Taste) of Turin and its province, artisans selected for the excellence of their production. Alongside the great historic names, small niche producers find their place in a journey that tells the story of the entire cocoa supply chain, from bean to bar. Two core spaces define the event: the Chocolate House, dedicated to tastings and meetings, and the Chocolate Factory, where artisans demonstrate production techniques live.
CioccolaTò is more than just a fair; it is a widespread festival that invades historic palaces, museums, and cultural venues across Turin. The program intertwines literary meetings, film screenings, workshops, and performances, hosting nationally and internationally renowned authors and personalities. There is no shortage of offerings for the little ones, with a children's village full of workshops and educational activities, nor professional development opportunities for industry operators.
Turin and Piedmont boast a centuries-old bond with chocolate: it was here, in the 19th century, that the famous gianduiotto was born, a symbol of an artisanal tradition that remains alive and recognized worldwide. CioccolaTò celebrates this culture of taste, combining historical memory, supply chain sustainability, and a forward-looking perspective. An unmissable opportunity to discover the sweetest side of the city, between Valentine's Day and the Carnival period.
Piazza Vittorio Veneto is located in the center of Turin, a short walk from the Po River and Piazza Castello. By train: arrive at Torino Porta Nuova or Porta Susa station, then take the metro or tram. By car: parking is available in the center, but public transport is recommended due to the high influx of visitors.
Admission to the fair in the square is free. The stands are open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on other days. Cultural events scheduled in city venues may require reservations.
The full program of the various initiatives is available on the official website cioccola.to.it. It is the ideal time to combine your visit with a weekend exploring Turin's historic cafés and museums.
