The major late-summer trade fair in the heart of Collegno
Collegno in Bancarella is one of the most anticipated events in the calendar of Collegno, a town in the first belt of Turin, Piedmont. With over thirty years of history, the trade fair is traditionally held on the third Sunday of September and marks the ideal end of the summer season, bringing life and movement back to the city center after the August break.
For an entire day, Viale XXIV Maggio, Piazza della Repubblica, and Piazza 1° Maggio are transformed into a large open-air market. Around one hundred stalls animate the event, offering a wide variety of goods:
The fair is organized by the Municipality of Collegno, through the Office for Public Areas Commerce and Economic Promotion, and is considered one of the city's historic commercial events.
Collegno in Bancarella is about more than just shopping. In the days leading up to the main Sunday, the program is enriched with numerous side events: Saturday afternoon is dedicated to “Ragazzi in Bancarella - Scambialibri”, an event where young people can trade books, games, comics, and small items, while recent editions have also featured a street food festival along with entertainment and bouncy castles for children.
Thanks to Collegno's location, well-connected to Turin by the metro, the event attracts visitors from the entire metropolitan area. Strolling among the stalls, browsing the flea market treasures, and stopping for a snack has become a late-summer ritual for many families. Admission is free, and the day is perfect for a leisurely pace, combining shopping with a walk through the center of one of the most vibrant cities in the western outskirts of Turin.
The date for the 2026 edition of Collegno in Bancarella is already official: the trade fair returns on Sunday, September 20, 2026, during the usual hours of 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM. The city center streets - Viale XXIV Maggio, Piazza della Repubblica, and Piazza 1° Maggio - will welcome around one hundred stalls featuring merchants, artisans, and food products, in addition to the flea market in Piazza 1° Maggio. The Municipality of Collegno has set July 22, 2026, as the deadline for operator participation applications. The detailed program of side events (street food, entertainment, and “Ragazzi in Bancarella”) will be published by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the event.
Collegno is connected to Turin by Metro Line 1 (Fermi, Paradiso, and Collegno Centro stops). By car, it can be reached from the Turin ring road, taking the Collegno exit; during the fair, several streets in the center are closed to traffic, so it is advisable to use parking areas in the surrounding zones.
The fair runs from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Admission is free.
