The craft beer festival of Val di Non, in Fondo
Cerevisia is the craft beer festival that every May transforms Fondo — a village in the municipality of Borgo d'Anaunia, in the Val di Non — into the Trentino capital of hops. The event takes place at the Palanaunia, in Piazza San Giovanni, and offers three days dedicated to discovering and tasting artisanal brewing productions, with brewery stands, meetings with producers, and a rich live music program.
The heart of the event is the craft breweries of Trentino-Alto Adige, which present their creations to the public. Over the years, participants have included breweries such as Bionoc', Birrificio Rezia, Birra Fon, Sunrise, Birrificio Km8, Birra Pejo, and Plotegher Beer, recently joined by South Tyrolean breweries. Visitors can sample different styles, engage with master brewers, and vote for their favorite beer, with an awards ceremony for the winning labels.
The program alternates between in-depth sessions and entertainment. The masterclasses with master brewers reveal the secrets of the "perfect beer," from raw materials to production techniques. The evenings are enlivened by rock concerts and acoustic or electric sets, while Sunday is dedicated to the «Hop & Bite» format, which pairs Cerevisia beers with offerings from the best street food trucks.
Founded in 2014, Cerevisia has grown to become one of the most anticipated spring events in the Val di Non, a valley known primarily for its apples but increasingly linked to the culture of craft beer. Free admission, a family-friendly scale, and the alpine setting make it an ideal opportunity to combine a gourmet exploration of the Municipality of Borgo d'Anaunia with a trip to Trentino.
The ninth edition of Cerevisia was held from May 22 to 24, 2026, at the Palanaunia in Fondo, Val di Non. The program combined craft beer tastings, masterclasses with master brewers, and a high-profile musical lineup.
Admission to the event was free, with tastings available for purchase at the Trentino-Alto Adige brewery stands.
Fondo is located in the Val di Non, in the municipality of Borgo d'Anaunia (TN). By car, it can be reached from the San Michele all'Adige/Mezzocorona motorway exit (A22 Brennero motorway) by heading up the Val di Non. The festival venue is the Palanaunia, at Piazza San Giovanni 9.
Free admission. The event spans three days, from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon. Beer tastings are paid for directly at the brewery stands.
The Val di Non offers numerous accommodation options between Fondo and the surrounding villages; booking in advance for the festival weekend is recommended.
