Barbaresco a Tavola is one of the most established food and wine events in the Langhe region. Launched in 1994, it showcases the latest vintage of Barbaresco DOCG every year through convivial dinners in local restaurants. In Treiso, a hilltop village in the province of Cuneo in the heart of Piedmont's wine country, traditional local eateries offer menus paired with a blind tasting of this great red wine over three evenings in May. It is an event that brings together producers, restaurateurs, and enthusiasts to celebrate the region's signature wine.

Barbaresco a Tavola is the historic event through which the Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco presents the latest vintage of Barbaresco DOCG each year. Established in 1994, it is now one of the most beloved wine events in the Langhe, involving restaurants across the denomination's municipalities, including Treiso—a small hilltop village in the province of Cuneo, located in the heart of Piedmont's wine country and a UNESCO World Heritage site alongside the rest of the Langhe-Roero and Monferrato wine landscape.

The Concept: Blind Tasting

The heart of the event is the blind tasting of the new Barbaresco DOCG vintage, served during dinner at participating venues. The selection of wines is identical in every restaurant, offering participants an authentic and unbiased experience: the names of the producers are revealed only at the end of the evening. Each chef pairs the wines with a full menu inspired by local cuisine and short-supply-chain products, showcasing their own creativity.

Treiso, Land of Barbaresco

Along with Barbaresco, Neive, and part of the municipality of Alba, Treiso is part of the production zone for Barbaresco DOCG, one of the world's most famous Piedmontese red wines, made from Nebbiolo grapes. Its hills are home to prestigious crus, and its famous viewpoint over the Langhe makes it a favorite stop for visitors. The event was created to highlight the bond between the wine and its land, bringing producers, restaurateurs, and wine lovers together in a relaxed, convivial atmosphere.

Forty Years of the Enoteca

This edition is part of a broader calendar of celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco, founded on July 5, 1986, and now a reference point for almost all producers in the denomination. This anniversary makes the event, experienced directly in the dining rooms of Treiso and neighboring villages, even more significant.

Protagonista la degustazione alla cieca del Barbaresco DOCG 2023, abbinato ai menù della tradizione di Langa e a prodotti di filiera corta. A Treiso hanno aderito quattro locali del borgo. L'edizione è rientrata nel programma celebrativo del 40° anniversario dell'Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco.

La 32ª edizione di Barbaresco a Tavola si è tenuta nelle tre serate di venerdì 15, 22 e 29 maggio 2026, all'interno delle celebrazioni per i 40 anni dell'Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco. Protagonista la nuova annata Barbaresco DOCG 2023, proposta in degustazione alla cieca, con venti etichette diverse servite a ogni serata e i nomi dei produttori svelati solo al termine della cena.

A Treiso hanno partecipato quattro ristoranti: Villa Garassino, Osteria Le Rocche, Osteria dell'Unione e Trattoria Risorgimento, ciascuno con un proprio menù di cucina locale abbinato ai vini in degustazione.

How to get there

Treiso is located in the province of Cuneo, in the Langhe, a few kilometers from Alba. By car, it can be reached via the A33 Asti-Cuneo motorway (Alba exit), continuing along the hillside roads. The most convenient train station is in Alba, which has bus connections to the surrounding villages. We recommend planning your return trip carefully after the tastings.

Reservations and Prices

Reservations must be made directly with individual restaurants. Evening menu prices vary by venue (approximately between 75 and 90 euros per person, including wine tastings). Vegetarian alternatives are available upon request.
