A meat-lover's festival in the heart of the Pisan hills

The Arrosticino and Meat Festival is one of the most anticipated culinary events in Cascine di Buti, a village in the municipality of Buti, in the province of Pisa, in the heart of Tuscany. Every year, between late May and early June, the Via Eroi dello Spazio Sports Field transforms into a large, lively venue where grilled meat is the absolute star, served in a friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere.

The festival is organized by the Nobile Contrada Cilecchio, one of the historic districts of the Bientina Palio. For the district, this event is much more than just a food festival: it is an opportunity to celebrate local traditions and culinary heritage, while raising funds and enthusiasm that fuel community life throughout the year. The passion of the volunteers shines through in every dish and every evening.

What to eat

The name of the festival leaves no room for doubt: people come here for the ciccia, or meat. The menu offers charcoal-grilled specialties every night, including:

• Arrosticini in three varieties: lamb, turkey, and Angus;
• Steaks and mixed grills;
• Grilled cockerel;
• Appetizers, pasta dishes, and traditional desserts.

The area is equipped to welcome families and large groups, and in case of bad weather, there is an indoor dining area available.

Live music every night
