Four days of flavors, tradition, and major free concerts in the heart of the Nisseno region
The Ancient Grains and Traditional Pizza Festival, combined with the Serradifalco Fair, is one of the most beloved summer events in the Nisseno district. It takes place in Serradifalco, a town in the province of Caltanissetta, Sicily, bringing Via Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto and the town center to life with a succession of scents, colors, and music. Established just a few years ago, the event has grown rapidly to become, as the organizers emphasize, a true economic engine for the area, capable of showcasing local produce and attracting visitors from across the region.
The heart of the festival lies in Sicilian ancient grains—native varieties recovered and promoted by local producers—and traditional pizza baked according to local recipes. Along the route, there are numerous food and wine stalls dedicated to local products, bread, pastries, and specialties from the Nisseno area, alongside craft and hobbyist stands. The atmosphere is that of a genuine village fair, where gastronomy intertwines with conviviality.
Each edition offers a rich calendar of free concerts featuring nationally renowned artists, shows, children's entertainment, and fairground rides. Over the years, the Serradifalco stage has hosted famous names from Italian music and entertainment, making the festival a landmark for audiences across the province. The event is also linked to the Feast of the Patron Saint, San Leonardo Abate, with its religious and social moments, blending popular devotion with community celebration.
With its food stalls, rides, crafts, and major musical evenings, the Ancient Grains Festival is designed for a broad audience: families, young people, and tourists alike find here an opportunity to discover the authentic flavors of inland Sicily and experience the town's hospitality. Admission to the shows is free, in line with the popular and inclusive spirit of the event promoted by the Municipality of Serradifalco.
The 2026 edition of the Ancient Grains and Traditional Pizza Festival in Serradifalco (province of Caltanissetta, Sicily) will be held from Friday, August 7 to Monday, August 10, 2026. For four days, Via Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto will host stalls featuring local products, traditional pizza, fairground rides, and crafts.
The headline event is the concert by Fedez, one of the most followed artists in Italian music, scheduled for Monday, August 10, 2026. His presence confirms the growth of the event, which in recent years has brought big names in entertainment to Serradifalco. The municipal organizers are announcing further musical and entertainment appointments for the other evenings, which are currently being finalized.
The full program for the other evenings is currently being defined by the Municipality of Serradifalco.
Serradifalco is located in the province of Caltanissetta, in central Sicily. By car, it can be reached via the SS640 (Caltanissetta-Agrigento) and the provincial roads of the Nisseno area; the reference train station is Caltanissetta. The nearest airports are Catania-Fontanarossa and Palermo-Punta Raisi.
The event is concentrated along Via Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto and the streets of the Serradifalco town center.
Shows and concerts are free to attend. It is recommended to arrive early on the nights of major concerts to secure a spot and parking. For updated schedules, it is best to check the festival's official Facebook page.
