Summer Friday nights in the historic center of Borgo San Dalmazzo: one evening, one color
For four Friday nights in July, the historic center of Borgo San Dalmazzo, nestled at the foot of the Cuneo valleys in Piedmont, transforms into a large open-air stage. Un Borgo di Sera is the summer festival that brings the town's streets and squares to life with music, shows, dance, markets, exhibitions, children's entertainment, and themed dinners. It is a free event designed for both locals and visitors to enjoy the town in a festive atmosphere that lasts until late at night.
The common thread of the event is color: every Friday, the streets of the village are tinged with a different shade—pink, blue, white, or red—and guests are invited to dress accordingly and strike a pose at the photo booth set up for the occasion. It is a simple yet brilliant idea that gives each evening its own identity and creates a unique atmosphere among the historic buildings. The red evening, in particular, has recently been dedicated to the passage of the Vuelta, the Spanish cycling race that made a special stop in Piedmont and Borgo San Dalmazzo.
The program is intentionally spread out: strolling through Via Roma, Via Garibaldi, Via Marconi, Piazza Martiri, Piazza IV Novembre, and Piazza Liberazione, you will encounter dance orchestras, street performers, dancers, jugglers, fire shows, sports exhibitions, the hobby market by the Circolo Culturale San Telmo, and art exhibitions. There is also plenty for children, including bouncy castles, face painting, creative workshops, and traditional games. Two fixed events set the pace for the entire festival: the Borgo Talent Show, an open stage for local singers, dancers, and performers, and the Borgo Fashion Night, a fashion-focused evening where the shop windows of Borgo San Dalmazzo become an open-air runway.
Every Friday, local restaurants and bars offer themed outdoor dinners, ranging from grilled specialties to set menus, often by reservation: it is the perfect opportunity to dine under the stars before or after the show. Un Borgo di Sera is organized by the Associazione Ente Fiera Fredda della Lumaca, the same organization behind the historic Fiera Fredda in December, in collaboration with the Youth Council and local associations.
The 2026 edition of Un Borgo di Sera takes place over four Friday nights in July in the historic center of Borgo San Dalmazzo: July 3, 10, 17, and 24, 2026. The event confirms its proven formula, with color-themed evenings (pink, blue, white, and red), live music, street performances, markets, children's entertainment, and themed dinners offered by local establishments.
Among the events already announced by the Ente Fiera Fredda della Lumaca: the Borgo Talent Show on Friday, July 10, an open stage for local singers, dancers, and performers, and the Borgo Fashion Night on Friday, July 24, a fashion-focused evening where the center becomes an open-air runway featuring local shop collections.
The detailed program for each evening—show line-ups, times, and themed dinners—will be published by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the event on the website fierafredda.it and on the Ente Fiera Fredda social media channels.
