About Court Performances at Manta
A court that returns to music
Court Performances is a festival that fills the walls of the Castello della Manta with early music and the history of the House of Savoy. This FAI (National Trust of Italy) jewel overlooks the hills of the Saluzzo area in the province of Cuneo. Promoted by the Le Terre dei Savoia Association, the festival was born from the cross-border Interreg ALCOTRA project "SavoiaExperience: A tourist and cultural circuit in the heart of Europe", which connects castles and royal residences between Piedmont and the French Savoy.
Gli Invaghiti and the history of the House of Savoy
The heart of the events at Manta is the vocal and instrumental ensemble Gli Invaghiti, performing "F.E.R.T. – The House of Savoy presents itself on the European stage". Through carefully selected music and readings, figures from the Savoy dynasty recount their own stories and their ties to the great European courts, in a journey spanning from the 15th-century works of Guillaume Du Fay to later centuries. The castle's setting, featuring the famous late-Gothic fresco cycle in the Baronial Hall, amplifies the allure of this journey through time.
A network of Savoyard castles
The festival is not limited to Manta: Court Performances touches various symbolic sites of the Savoyard heritage, from the Castello di Valcasotto to the Castello di Govone, from the Royal Castle of Racconigi to the Hautecombe Abbey and the Castle of the Dukes of Savoy in Chambéry, France. Each stop is designed to highlight a piece of shared history between both sides of the Alps.
A free event in the Saluzzo area
Events at the Castello della Manta are free of charge with mandatory reservation, offering a precious opportunity to discover or rediscover one of Piedmont's most beloved FAI sites. The Municipality of Manta and the Province of Cuneo thus offer a high-quality cultural experience in spring and autumn that blends music, history, and landscape.

A Manta va in scena lo spettacolo "F.E.R.T. – I Savoia si presentano sulla scena europea" con l'ensemble Gli Invaghiti, in due date: il 30 maggio e il 20 settembre 2026, sempre alle ore 17:30. Gli eventi sono a ingresso gratuito con prenotazione obbligatoria.

How to get there
The Castello della Manta is located in Manta (CN), in the Saluzzo area, just a few kilometers from Saluzzo. By car, it can be reached via the A6 Turin-Savona motorway (Marene exit) or the state road to Cuneo; parking is available in the village. By public transport, the reference railway station is Saluzzo, which is connected to Manta by bus.
Tickets
Admission is free for all festival performances, with mandatory reservation (usually via Eventbrite). We recommend booking in advance to secure your spot.
Tips
The performances take place in the late afternoon (5:30 PM): it is the perfect opportunity to combine the concert with a visit to the castle and its famous fresco cycle. Comfortable clothing is recommended.
