The Ski Club Roen Festival in Termeno

The Ski Club Festival (in German Fest des Skiclub Tramin) is the end-of-summer event organized by the Ski Club Roen of Termeno sulla strada del vino (Tramin an der Weinstraße), in the heart of the Oltradige area, in the province of Bolzano (South Tyrol). Like many South Tyrolean Vereinsfeste, it is a simple and genuine village festival: no grand stages, just a community gathering where neighbors, friends, and families meet in a relaxed late-summer atmosphere.

An association with deep roots

The Ski Club Roen was founded in 1967 by a group of ski enthusiasts from Termeno and became a section of the ASV Termeno in 2005. Today, it has over 300 members and manages the beginners' group, the VSS competitive team, and the Grand Prix squad. For over fifty years, it has also organized the traditional Christmas ski course at Passo Oclini and the club championship at Monte San Pietro. The autumn festival is the main fundraising activity used by the club to finance courses, training sessions, and the participation of young athletes in competitions.

What to expect

The event is held at the covered Festplatz in Termeno, the municipal festival area sheltered from bad weather, ensuring the evening can proceed regardless of conditions. It begins in the late afternoon and continues with:

• Cuisine and specialties prepared by the club's volunteers;
• Oltradige wines, beer, and drinks at the festival bar;
• Live music and entertainment to accompany the evening;
• a convivial atmosphere designed for the entire community to come together.

Termeno and the Wine Road

Termeno is one of the most famous villages on the South Tyrolean Wine Road, home of the Gewürztraminer grape and surrounded by vineyards that slope down toward Lake Caldaro. Attending the Ski Club festival is an authentic way to experience the most genuine side of the village, away from tourist circuits, among locals and traditional flavors. Admission is free and the event is open to everyone.
