SapEur — Fair of Quality Typical Products

SapEur, the journey into authentic Italian flavors

SapEur is the major fair dedicated to typical, high-quality products that every year, at the beginning of January, opens the exhibition season of the Fiera di Forlì, in the heart of the province of Forlì-Cesena, in Emilia-Romagna. Organized by Romagna Fiere, the event brings together gastronomic excellences from all over the national territory, uniting small producers, taste artisans, and companies offering specialties hard to find in large retail chains in a single space.

Over an area of more than 12,000 square meters, over 200 exhibitors set up stands full of cured meats, typical cheeses, honey, balsamic vinegar, dried fruit, licorice, jams, artisanal chocolate, pralines, coffee, flours, cereals and legumes, preserves, bread and baked goods, artisanal pasta, sweets, undergrowth products, and fish products. Visitors can taste, meet the producers, and buy directly, in a journey that is simultaneously a market, a celebration, and an opportunity to discover Italy's gastronomic heritage.

Thematic areas and side events

SapEur is not just a trade fair: the event is divided into various thematic areas that change and grow each year. Among the most established sections are "Il Cibo è Salute" (Food is Health), dedicated to healthy and natural eating, "VerdeOliva" (Green Olive) reserved for extra virgin olive oils, and the section dedicated to street food with food trucks. Within the same event, the Forlì Wine Festival is also held, a showcase of wines from Romagna and Italy that has accompanied SapEur since its early editions.

To complete the visit, there is a packed schedule of events: cooking shows with the best local chefs, professional and refresher courses, exhibitions, guided tastings, and free workshops designed for adults and children. It is an offering designed for families and food lovers, who find an entire day here to dedicate to taste.

A Forlì tradition

Reaching its twenty-third edition in 2026, SapEur is now a regular fixture on Forlì's winter calendar and that of the entire Romagna region, attracting thousands of visitors in just one weekend. The fair enhances the link between food, territory, and tradition, and represents an important showcase for producers who champion artisanal quality and Italy's food biodiversity.
