Admission to the festival area is free; you only pay for what you consume at the food stalls. It is advisable to arrive a little early on the busiest weekend evenings.
The 2026 Salt Cod Festival enlivened Parco Le Sughere in Bientina over the weekend of June 12-14, confirming itself as one of the gastronomic highlights of the early Bientina summer. In the outdoor spaces of the Circolo Il Risorgimento, in Localitร Quattro Strade, the food stalls offered salt cod in its various traditional Tuscan variations.
The event, organized with Piranha Street Food, was part of the rich calendar of themed festivals that the park hosts from May to September. The evenings, with free admission, followed the usual village festival formula, with evening dining and a convivial atmosphere.

By car: Bientina can be reached via the SS439 Sarzanese-Valdera or the FI-PI-LI highway (Pontedera or Cascina exits); the hamlet of Quattro Strade is located along the road connecting Bientina to Calcinaia. By train: the nearest stations are Pontedera-Casciana Terme and Cascina on the Florence-Pisa line, with onward travel by bus or car.
