In Struppa, a district in the upper Val Bisagno in Genoa, there is a festival dedicated to it that has reached its twenty-seventh edition, a sign of its deep roots in the community.

Association (Giovani Amici Uniti - United Young Friends) to purchase an ambulance. Eating stockfish in Struppa thus also means supporting a concrete cause for the benefit of the local area.
