The Latin American food and culture festival in the heart of the Valdarno
For four days, the central Piazza Marsilio Ficino—the living room of the historic center of Figline e Incisa Valdarno, in the province of Florence and the heart of Tuscany—transforms into a lively Latin American village. Sabor Latino is a traveling festival dedicated to the flavors and culture of Latin America, making a stop in the Valdarno. It is a unique opportunity to sample specialties from numerous countries in one square and get swept away by the energy of music and dance.
The heart of the event is the food and wine selection, showcasing the cuisines of Brazil, Argentina, Cuba, Mexico, Spain, the Dominican Republic, and Venezuela. At the stalls, you can taste some of the most iconic dishes from the continent:
The organizers also cater to those with specific dietary needs, with gluten-free options available in the square.
Sabor Latino is more than just food: the square comes alive with live music and dance performances, bringing Latin American rhythms and folklore to the tables and stalls. The atmosphere is typical of South American festivals—festive and engaging—designed for families, groups of friends, and curious visitors of all ages.
The event is organized by Colleventi, a firm specializing in street food events and town square festivals that brings Sabor Latino to various Italian locations. In Figline e Incisa Valdarno, the festival is part of the municipality's spring calendar, enlivening the main square and continuing the tradition of gastronomic events that attract residents and visitors from the Valdarno and the Florence area every year.
