The Rotzo Potato Festival: A Symbol of Rotzo

The Rotzo Potato Festival is the most anticipated event in this small municipality on the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni, in the province of Vicenza. The star is the Rotzo potato, a product with Municipal Designation (De.CO) cultivated on the terraces of the oldest municipality on the Plateau: a potato with an unmistakable flavor, which here becomes the heart of a late-summer festival deeply felt by the community.

Three Days of Flavors and Tradition

For three days, the center of Rotzo is filled with food stands where the potato is the queen of the table: Rotzo potato gnocchi, polenta, and numerous other specialties of the Plateau's cuisine. Alongside the food, the program offers live music, tribute bands, DJ sets, shows, and entertainment from afternoon until evening.

Cimbrian Culture and Spaces for Everyone

One of the most evocative features of the festival is the Cimbrian market Tzimbar Maarktele, which recalls the ancient Cimbrian culture of the Plateau. There are also areas dedicated to children with games and entertainment, a historical exhibition on potato cultivation and agricultural techniques, and an exhibition of traditional peasant tractors and tools. The event is organized by Pro Loco Rotzo.
