Ris e Vin is the food and wine festival that every spring transforms Trino, a town in the Province of Vercelli located in the heart of the Piedmontese rice plains, into a stage dedicated to local flavors. The event brings together the two great stars of the local table: rice, served in traditional risottos, and wine from the Piedmontese hills. The elegant backdrop of Palazzo Paleologo, in the town's historic center, offers the perfect setting for a celebration that weaves together taste, art, and music.

A local celebration

Launched just a few years ago, Ris e Vin has quickly established itself as one of the most anticipated spring events in Trino. The festival is promoted by the Trino Commercial Operators Association (AOCT), in collaboration with the Amici Robellesi Association and the "Sergio Ronco" hotel management school in Trino. Students from the school are actively involved, giving the event an educational value alongside its social appeal. It is a celebration that bridges tradition and the future, highlighting typical products and the expertise of a region deeply rooted in rice cultivation.

Risotto and wine tastings

The heart of the festival lies in its tastings. The absolute stars are the gourmet risottos prepared with rice varieties grown in the Vercelli plains, paired with a selection of Piedmontese wines. There is also plenty of street food to expand the culinary offerings and accompany the evenings. Among the most anticipated moments is the famous risotto competition: visitors sample a selection of risottos and vote for their favorite in a spirit of friendly rivalry.

Beyond gastronomy, Ris e Vin offers a rich entertainment program. Evenings are enlivened by live music and DJ sets under the stars, while the spaces of Palazzo Paleologo host art exhibitions and cultural moments.
