The widespread festival of the Viverone Cultural Park, blending nature, science, music, and performance
The Villa Lucca Park Cultural Season is the festival that, from spring to autumn, enlivens the municipal park of Viverone, a small town in the Province of Biella overlooking the lake of the same name, one of the most picturesque in Piedmont. It is not a festival concentrated in a few days, but a program spread over several months, with two or three monthly events designed for all ages.
The true protagonist is the Villa Lucca Cultural Park, inaugurated after a major redevelopment project carried out thanks to the Armonia+ grant from the Fondazione CR Biella. Inside the park, you will find the Municipal Library and the Viverone Lake Documentation Center, as well as a striking Wall of Fame created by artist Martina Zena. The goal declared by the municipal administration is to make the park a space increasingly open to the citizenry, culture, and the promotion of the territory.
The festival weaves together very different genres and languages. Over the seasons, it has featured stand-up comedy shows and itinerant theater, concerts ranging from jazz to percussion and local brass bands, stargazing and birdwatching evenings guided by experts, scientific outreach meetings, photographic and painting exhibitions, workshops for children, and moments dedicated to the memory of the pile-dwelling site of Viverone, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
One of the distinctive features of the Cultural Season is its inclusive nature: almost all events are free of charge. Participants are offered an original "cultural passport" to be stamped at each event, a playful way to accompany the public throughout the festival's journey. In case of bad weather, events are moved to the Municipal Gymnasium on Via Gattinara 51.
The 2026 edition of the Villa Lucca Park Cultural Season coincides with the inauguration of the new Villa Lucca Cultural Park, created thanks to the Armonia+ grant from the Fondazione CR Biella. The inaugural ceremony attracted about 150 people, with the presentation of the Library, the Lake Documentation Center, and Martina Zena's Wall of Fame.
The program, distributed from spring to autumn in Viverone (Province of Biella), alternates outreach, music, theater, and family activities, maintaining the proven formula of free admission and the "cultural passport" to be stamped.
Further events for the 2026 season will be announced progressively on the official channels of the Municipality of Viverone (website, Facebook, Instagram, and the "Parco Culturale Viverone" WhatsApp channel). In case of bad weather, events will move to the Municipal Gymnasium on Via Gattinara 51.
Viverone is located in the lower Biella area, near the border with the provinces of Turin and Vercelli. By car, it can be reached from the A4/A5 motorway (Santhià exit) or the SP59. By train, the nearest station is Santhià , which is then connected by bus or taxi.
Events take place at Parco Villa Lucca; in case of bad weather, they are held at the Municipal Gymnasium, Via Gattinara 51.
Most events are free and open to the public.
