Unlimited pizza and delicious Nutella-filled schiacciata at the Bientina sports field
When spring arrives in Bientina, a small town in the province of Pisa overlooking the ancient Sesto lake basin, the Via Leonardo Da Vinci sports field fills with unmistakable aromas: freshly baked pizza and warm, Nutella-spread schiacciata. This is the Pizza and Nutella Schiacciata Festival, one of the town's most beloved gastronomic events, organized with passion by A.S.D. Sextum Bientina.
The heart of the festival is, of course, the pizza, available in many varieties and baked to order. But the menu doesn't stop there: you can also enjoy appetizers, pasta dishes, and grilled meats, with an offering designed to satisfy all tastes and ages. To top off your dinner, there is the specialty that gives the festival its name: the Nutella schiacciata, soft, warm, and generously filledโa simple dessert that has become the delicious symbol of this event.
The Bientina Pizza Festival is, above all, a community celebration. Food stalls open in the evening, and guests can sit at outdoor tables when the weather is nice, or indoors in case of rain. The atmosphere is that of a genuine Tuscan village fair, where friends and families gather for a convivial dinner at affordable prices, served with the smiles of the volunteers who have been running the event for years.
Located halfway between Pisa, Lucca, and the Valdarno area, Bientina is a Tuscan village that retains the charm of the small towns of the Valdera. Between a pizza and a slice of schiacciata, the festival is also an opportunity to discover this corner of the Pisan province, rich in gastronomic traditions and popular festivals that mark the year. The event typically takes place around the long June 2nd holiday weekend, extending the culinary pleasure over several consecutive weekends.
The Pizza and Nutella Schiacciata Festival returned to Bientina in 2026 with its proven formula spanning several weekends, from May 6th to June 4th. A.S.D. Sextum Bientina set up the stalls at the Via Leonardo Da Vinci sports field, with evening openings starting at 7:00 PM.
The menu confirmed the festival's great classics: freshly baked pizzas in numerous varieties, appetizers, pasta dishes, and grilled meats, in addition to the unmissable Nutella schiacciata. The festival brought families and friends from the Valdera region together at the tables for convivial dinners at affordable prices, also taking advantage of the long June 2nd holiday weekend.
The festival was spread over five weekends: May 6-7, 13-14, 20-21, 27-28 and June 2-3-4, 2026. Food stalls opened every evening starting at 7:00 PM with a variety of pizzas, appetizers, pasta, grilled meats, and Nutella schiacciata.
The detailed program for individual evenings (any entertainment or music) is managed by the organization and announced locally closer to the event.
